I am trying to contact a chap called Michael Oliver or he might be known as oliver Michael. He was born in the mid to late 1950's to a single mother and lived in the Egham Hythe area. Regret I do not have his surname. Believe he may be a distant relative of mine.

Does anyone know the location of Lowood (Low Wood or Low-Wood perhaps?) House? My Grandfather owned the property during the last War (Maj D E Dixon, Grenadier Guards) and my father was born there in 1943. I lived in Sunninghill for a year but was never able to locate it - can anyone help? Thanks

If my information is correct, some years ago the ladies of Windlesham made a quilt with oak leaves and acorn motifs. It was featured in a magazine at that time and I had the cutting. I should be grateful if one of its makers would send me a picture and the story behind the quilt. I am a quilter myself and thought the block was beautiful even from the tiny cutting I had.

Hi, i am trying to find out if anyone has researched men and women of Virginia Water that were killed in the Second World War? I am researching aircraft crashes in Shropshire and one of the pilots that was killed was F/Lt Roy Harold Phillips (138663), RAFVR, aged 23. He was the Son of Harold Alexander and Marie Ethel Phillips, of Virginia Water, Surrey; husband of Marjorie Eileen Phillips.

I am wondering if anyone can help with any further information on this pilot? Perhaps somebody has researched war time casualties? I would be very grateful for any help. Many thanks, Tom

Hi, I was sent to Woodlee in September 1965 after an accident in which I lost both legs. Toughest time of my life, I was only 17yrs at the time but it toughened me up. Now a lecturer in the social sciences and am fully mobile mostly thanks to the harsh rigours of my months spent at Woodlee, Egahm.
